Chocolate + Cherry Morning Yogurt Bowl

When I look at cherries, I literally want to say: “You had me at ‘hello’.” I am in love with these delicious little devils, but I try to use them sparingly since they can knock me right back into a sugar-craving orbit. Keeping portions down to 1/4 cup is ideal when it comes to foods that give you that need.  Good thing this breakfast dish is on the nutritious side thanks to no sugar-added coconut yogurt, antioxidant-rich raw cacao nibs, fantastically healthy fat-filed chia seeds, + a lil’ ol’ sweetness from organic dark cherries.

Chocolate + Cherry Morning Yogurt Bowl

makes 1 serving

What You Need:

  • 1 cup unsweetened plain coconut yogurt
  • 1/4 cup (frozen) organic dark cherries, defrosted by soaking in warm water + then cut in half
  • 1 TB chia seeds
  • 1 TB cacao nibs
  • 1-2 tsp coconut nectar or raw honey, to drizzle on top

To Make:

  1. Simply place the yogurt in a bowl and top with the cherries, nibs, chia seeds, + coconut nectar
