What I Eat + Do In A Day: 1/2/2018

By January 2, 2018 No Comments

I get a lot of requests from clients and followers to see what I do every day…so, I am going to show you exactly that on my Instagram stories (@LIVING_withAshley) + in more detail here! Stay tuned- I hope it helps all of you live realistically healthy + happy!

Today I woke up and told myself: today’s going to be the shit. Just because I said so. Commit + you will see a difference folks.

I bought my 12 LB weight vest + am really obsessed with using it to burn more calories throughout a workout. NOTE: ensure you use good form and keep your back straight so you don’t put too much pressure on your lower back. Buy it now

I try to do fasted cardio (meaning in the morning sans brealfast) so my body will feed off of my fat stores for energy + not my most recent energy intake. I find it really works to get my fat-burning body going!

A girl needs to eat after a workout, but I love to prep my light morning meal whenever I have a minute, no matter when I decide to eat it. Smoothie bowls are great because they can be made in bulk! Try new bases (like frozen bananas, papaya, blueberries, + a healthy dose of greens each time) with new add-ins for an energy boost for your day!

Blue Majik Smoothie Bowl

What You Need:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 packet of E3 Blue Majik powder
  • 3 cups baby spinach
  • 1 cup unsweetened hemp milk
  • 3 scoops slender porridge
  • 1 scoop collagen proteins
  • top with 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • optional: 1 scoop charcoal coconut butter

To Make:

  1. Simply blend all of it together in a blender, then top with raspberries!

I sipped this while I came down from my workout as my DAILY morning beauty water concoction:

Buy rose water that’s pure + liquid silica – add in the amount recommended on the label with alkaline, iodized water and some lemon juice for a beauty cocktail to improve your skin, hair, nails, + energy.

Everybody needs a shower post-workout, but I like to do it a little differently! I dry brush to exfoliate my skin, boost my lymphatic drainage (detox,) + increases my circulation to get the body + blood pumping. Once I hop in the shower, I go about my business gettin’ fresh + clean, but finish it with a detoxifying + moisturizing oil. This dry weather has me needing it big time!

Start at your feet + brush with long strokes towards your heart. The entire body should take 5 minutes. My dry brush can be found here. I also use this detox oil (you only need a little bit, so it goes a long way) and a detox scrub a few times a week!

Seaweed + Salmon Bowl

What You Need:

  • 1 fillet of wild salmon, baked at 350 degrees F for roughly 10 minutes
  • 1 cup of purple cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup of prepared seaweed salad
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 2 fried eggs
  • 1 cup edamame, shelled
  • 1 TB scallions, chopped
  • 1 TB pickled ginger
  • Sauce: mix together 1 TB of teriyaki sauce + 1 TB of paleo-mayonnaise with 2 tsp chili oil

To Make:

  1. Simply plate everything together + top with the sauce

After traveling + having a sick baby in tow, I’ve been feeling a bit lethargic and stuffed up. Sippin’ on some immune-boosting bone broth I picked up at Whole Foods was my afternoon delight today. This flavor? UM….YASSSS! More collagen to boost my skin repair, some protein post-workout to rebuild my muscles, a warm beverage for my throat…WINNING.

Another dose of my funked up waters – at the end of the day I sip in some chlorophyll (legit greens) in my water with some trace minerals. It’s basically eating the produce aisle of greens in an 8-oz. glass. Buy chlorophyll + make it a part of your routine.

Knowledge is healthy. I love to read, research, discover…this is my book for the week. Mental clarity + the act of “letting go” of negativity is key to living well. Not only because you should be happy, but happiness breads health. Negativity affects your hormones, which in turn bloats, causes headaches, chronic disease, + more. Say goodbye to that crap.

Don’t forget how important it is to get your sleep. Set up a clean sleeping environment without TV, computer screens, phones…let your food digest, put the blinds down, make sure you’ve dealt with your day and planned for tomorrow so anxiety won’t keep you up…
