WHAT ASHLEY BELIEVES ABOUT THE CORE CONCEPT BEHIND HEALTHY LIVING
Life should be about striving for continuous improvement, every single day, especially when it comes to your health. It is not seeking perfection. Perfection doesn’t exist.
FOOD: What we feed ourselves isn’t simply food. It’s fuel for life, natural medicine, positive energy, + a wholesome beauty product. Eat clean + colorful to feel energetic, satisfied, + sexy from inside, out.
FITNESS: You get one body in life, no trade-ins. Treat it right + sweat often, move more, push its limits, + strengthen it from the outside, in. Don’t let a workout intimidate you, let it inspire you to set a new personal best and allow your fitness goals to evolve. Remember: Strength is beauty.
LIFESTYLE: Food + fitness are only 2/3 the battle when it comes to your wellbeing. Train your mind + treat yourself well to encourage ongoing enrichment in health + happiness. LIVING has self-care practices to ensure you are continuously fine-tuning your wellness as a whole into a lifestyle.
Ashley here! I wanted to give you a little bit of background on my experience in this ever-changing industry…aka: how I got to where I am today. Over the last 15 years, I have evolved my healthy living programming into a more modern approach; what I call ‘an on-demand + comprehensive approach to the whole body.’ My well-rounded and detailed “LIVING” approach sets me apart from basic, commercial training and do-it-yourself nutrition programs. Along with working one-on-one with clients, I have worked for several years as both a personal trainer and nutrition coach in a variety of settings. In addition to my past work with highly regarded fitness centers in Chicago, I have worked as Director of Wellness for a corporate wellness company, designing custom programs to aid employees on their path to better health as well as supporting a healthy corporate culture within many Fortune 500 companies.
I have also served as the official “Wellness Concierge” of the Kimpton’s Allegro Hotel in Chicago to offer unique wellness benefits for guests.
My background also stems from my long-time love of athletics, specifically spending a large part of my life as a competitive runner in cross-country running, running marathons, and doing the 5k/10k competitive circuit. My interest in service and working with people also transcends to my large involvement with charitable causes, such as serving as a national board member with Gift of Adoption, a development board member at PAWS Chicago, and as a mentor with the Young Adult Counselor at Steppenwolf Theater.
Ashley Fun facts: I am a dog mom of 3 fur babies of all different sizes as well as the mommy to an incredible 5-year-old. I love to teach her all about cooking and enjoying the grateful life. I sing in the shower, and in the car, and when I cook.. I also tend to dance around my kitchen when my Spotify is on. We are city folks; but spend a great deal of our time living the lake life in Lake Geneva, WI. Give me the outdoors any day!
